Why to visit Heusden?

In the south of The Netherlands (Holland), in the province Noord-Brabant, there are a lot of of highlights to visit. Do not miss: cultural fortress Heusden, National Park Loonse and Drunense Duinen with spectacular sanddunes and the surrounding area of river ‘Bergsche Maas’. These highlights are nearby ’s-Hertogenbosch (capital city of province Noord-Brabant).

Tourist office

Nowadays, the tourist office is located in the former city hall of Heusden. During the visiting hours the employees of the 'Heusdens Buro voor Toerisme' are able to give more information and advice about the touristic highlights, hotels and activities in the fortress city and the surrounding area. It’s also possible to reserve a guided (walking)tour or to buy a map to explore the area on your own.

Visitors centre
The visitors centre is located in the same building as the tourist office (in the former city hall). Old pictures, a movie about the history of Heusden and a model of the fortress (35m2!) are shown. During the year, on the first floor, are different kind of exhibitions which you can visit. No entrance fee.
